How does one determine syllables in Spanish?
I've looked through my Spansih/English dictionaries and also through the dictionary on this Web site; and, I don't see any of the words listed in Spanish broken-up into syllables. Although, all of the English words are! So, how does one determine how a Spanish word is broken-up into syllables? Is it a matter of memorizing the rules for which vowels are split apart and which ones are joined together, as in a diphthong? And, also, the rules for the consonants?
Gracias por su ayuda . . .

We did have this question before: It is part of our reference now:
Hi Pajaro
Not sure why you want the Spanish words "broken up" into syllables.
The reason that the English side of your dictionary shows phonetics is that English spelling / pronunciation is completely illogical whereas Spanish and most other languages are not.
In general all vowels are pronounced in Spanish - whereas in England they are not.
