What does ' ponte para lo tuyo ' mean in english?

ive been listening to a song called ' ponte para lo tuyo ' .. but i cant figure out what it means?

  • ponte = to begin/come on
  • para lo tuyo = to/for that is yours

so it would be,

'begin to/for it thats yours'.. it just doesnt make sence and i cant figure it out..

somebody who can help me?

"Ponte" as Eddy says "impose yourself" that is stick out your chest and even holler if necessary. So, by extension the whole comes out as "Stand up for yours (your family, your possessions or whatever)".
