What's "would betray"?

As in "that after all of this time, with friends and family on his side, he would betray them all?"

There are probably a couple of ways to say this, but for "...would betray" I would think that the conditional tense might be the best one to use here. You might try something like.

...los traicionaría

...abusaría de la confianza de ellos

If you want a meaning for "betray" like "hand them all over to the Feds" this requires "traicionar". Izanoni's other option, "abusaria la confianza" is more on the level of "tell their secrets". You choose.
