My friend's 13 year old daughter has the entire Twilight series in both English and Spanish. I won't comment on how good I think they are but she seems to enjoy them...
How about El Príncipe De La Niebla por Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It's the first book in a trilogy originally marketed as for "young adults".
What is a "tween"?
Between a child and a teenager (10-13 years old)
I'm currently reading Mi rincón en la montaña by Jean Craighead George which is probably a preteen book.
It's set in the woods so there are a lot of new words for me on tree names, plants, woodland creatures, etc.
I used to read the Escalofríos (Goosebumps) series which was for preteens. A similar series by the same author (R.L. Stine) is Fear Street. Many of the volumes are available in Spanish. The protagonists are pre-teens.
Lo siento, everyone... when i said tween i mean a young teenager not at the ages 13-18 quite yet. And when i said novella, i meant Soap Operas... in spanish.
Between a child and a teenager? Wow, I've never heard of such a thing. I thought a child was...... a child. Then they became teenagers. But maybe that was just my kids.
The only time I ever got called a "tween" was by the client project manager on a police project. He was 6' 4 and my other colleague was 6' 3". I'm a mere 6' and we'd just had a meeting with the accountant to the force who was maybe 5' 7". What's your definition of "tween"?
