How to write "the person I could have been"

Second try, now with big I:s and I'm:s :D

right, so I'm only just entering the world of subjuntivo.... And still, I'm quite confused about when or how to use it.

This is what I want to write: "All the different persons she could have been."

I know its a weird sentence but I'm talking about a women that in her life has been mistaken for a lot of other persons, hope you'll understand what I mean!

appreciate any help

*a woman ;) women is plural. I don't mean to embarrass you, just to clarify for our Spanish memebers learning English. Welcome to the forum! - Lrtward, May 12, 2010
Lovisa - welcome from me - we are not trying to scare you off; we're just a little picky on account of not wanting to corrupt the innocent new learners. - geofc, May 12, 2010

not necessary, jeff, if you say all those persons I could have been...it is obvious that they were all different - 00494d19, May 12, 2010

Hello! the person I could have been : La persona que podría haber sido. All the different persons she could have been : Todas las diferentes personas que ella pudo haber sido This phrases are relatives to anything she could be, better or worst... but no comparative with anothers.

She have been confused with a lot of persons: ella ha sido confundida con muchas personas. I think is very best option.

All the different persons she could have been.

Todas las persons que he podido ser/que hubiera podido ser

YOu do not use subjunctive here.

Anyway, have you seen our lessons, Lovisa? And the reference section?

But isn't, hubiera podido ser the "pluscuamperfecto de subjuntivo"

Pues me temo...

Of course! red face

I was thinking of the first sentence only, that is indicative. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you, jeje, :::banging my head against the wall::

It is quite common though to use he podido ser, can have been...which would not be correct in English, of course.

Muchísimas gracias heidita! That was exactly what I was looking for!

But isn't, hubiera podido ser the "pluscuamperfecto de subjuntivo" or am I confusing myself with some other weird grammatical form?
