to sign vs. to print

to sign vs. to print

A sentence that I have to say often at work is: Please sign your name here and print underneath.

Por favor, firme su nombre aqui y escribalo claramente abajo.

Is that correct? Is there a one word translation for "print"? I can't say "imprimir", right?

Thanks.

You have it right, Alba.

Sometimes when it is absolutely crucial that the person signing the document understands clearly and makes no mistake, something like the following is written:

"Escriba su nombre con letras de imprenta y firme en el lugar indicado."

Obviously, no "one word" translation! grin
