¡Hola!, KSnyder:

There are a few things you can do on our web site to help you to get more insight to the translation/interpretation of "La parte".

If you point your mouse indicator to the word "parte" and 'double click' on it, a narrow window will open up and it will say, "parte = part". Then point to the Spanish word "parte" and 'single click' that word. This will take you to our Span¡shD!ct dictionary where you can read the many uses of "parte". Notice it can be either masculine or feminine, that is either "el parte" or "la parte". See if you can find the meaning of "la parte" that fits the context of the sentence in which you found it used.

Another thing you might do is to enter "parte" at the top of the screen in the "Translate" slot provided there. That will also take you directly to our dictionary.

It is not necessary to use a Google search for a Span--> Eng dictionary. However, if you do not find the answer here on our web site, you may then want to look elsewhere to see if you are able to find what you want.

Unfortunately, there are many possible meanings for "la parte" and as Heidita and Lindsi have said, what it means will depend in large measure on the context (the sentence or words around it) in which it is used.

There's a mint of answers in the dictionary. Why not simply write "parte" in the box at the top of the page and go from there.

Guessing wildly - if what you're really asking is about "de la parte de" it means "on behalf of", "representing" etc.
