Placement of noun
How would I phrase the following:
Did the instructor help to make the class fun and enjoyable?
Ayudo el instructor en hacer la clase divertida y agradable?
or
El instructor ayudo en hacer la clase divertida y agradable?

The subject (instructor) can go either before or after the verb in the question. After sounds better to my ear.
However, you do need the accent--ayudó for third person preterite. If you wanted to imply an ongoing action in the past (he used to make the class enjoyable), you'd use the imperfect ayudaba. But it sounds like you want the preterite in this case.
El instructor ayudo en hacer la clase divertida y agradable?
Also Ayudo is saying I Help, which isn't correct, unless i'm missing an accent over the O, which would also be incorrect because it should be Imperfect. But overall it looks like your trying to make a direct translation which may not be what you want.
