How do you translate 'so' into Spanish?

¿Cómo se dice 'so' en español?

He buscado en el diccionario pero no hay el significado que yo quiera...

Por ejemplo, en inglés:

I have an exam that day so I will be there then.

Tengo un examen ese día...?...estaré allí entonces. (?)

¡Estoy confundida!

Por favor, corregid mi español...

In this case, I would use así que.

Tengo un examen, así que estaré allí (o presente).

I would say 'por eso'

Tengo un examen ese día, por eso estaré allí entonces.

Try "asi"

However, I am not sure if "asi" can be plugged into your sentence and be considered correct. I only remember my father telling me that "asi" means "so". I am not sure of its proper usage in the Spanish language. More advanced users will need to chip in there.

I have understood your use of 'so' to mean therefore/in that case. Please permit me to suggest that you do not need to use/translate the last word 'then' as its meaning is already implied in the word so/therefore translated by 'así que'
