this was for homework... long story... but does this make sense?? : Y tu es mi familia. -----im wanting it 2 mean: and that is my family. HELP?

Hi,

I don't know the context, but in Spanish it could mean:

"Y esto es mi familia": in the meaning you can't change it (maybe you would like to change someone or something in it)

"Y esta es mi familia": you have explained how your family is and you finish the paragraph with this sentence.
