Please translate, as literally as possible, the following (taken from the end of a sentence):

"....supuso un cambio fundamental en mi modo de ofertar esta prestacion."

The word I cannot find (so far) online in a dictionary is the English equivalent of "supuso." The context is that books that someone has published have affected another's mode or style of practice (of medicine).

Hey, thanks. I checked, with your help. Yes, the imperfect conjugation of suponer. I think I can figure out the rest of the sentence.

supuso suponer to suppose, conjugated the same way as poner. supuso, he/she/it supposed
