The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Ahh, Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken. It seems that everywhere I go that poem ends up following me. I remember reading it in 7th grade, 9th grade, and writing an essay for my sister for her class in college and I'm pretty sure that when I go to college, It will be necessary to read it once again.
Personally, I really like this poem, it kinda describes the type of life I want to have (and hopefully will have). I want to do something unique that no one in my family has ever done. Also, love his comparison of life with roads, it really describes life. It's a great poem to annotate and write an essay on. Read some of his other poems and love them just as much, especially, "Nothing Gold Can Stay"(that poem is right on the mark)
Me gusta este la poema. Me trae recuerdos de la escuela media. También, tuve que escribir varios (muchos??) ensayos sobre este poema. Es un poema bello y lo describe muy bien la vida. Robert Frost es un gran escritor. Hay otros poemas de Robert Forst que me gusta, especialmente "Nothing Gold Can Stay".
