Help with Hace in my test!!

Question

Hey everyone, I'm in a test and there's a couple questions on the test and your supposed to respond back using the "Hace" formula. So here's one question and then what I answered to it. Please tell me if I answered correctly!!

¿Cuánto tiempo hace que estudias español?

Hace cinco años que estudias español.

An answer more usual: Desde hace cinco años.

Hace cinco años que estudio español. I would think this would be it since it's asking you a question. The question says "how long have you been studying spanish" and your answer says "for five years you study spanish". I would think you were meant to change the subject in the last clause, but I may be mistaken since I'm not aware of the directions with which your teacher assigned to this section of the test. However, I hope you don't use this site as a cheat sheet and that you've already turned in your test before you asked this question.

First of all, for an ongoing action (like how long I've been speaking Spanish), llevo ocho años estudiando español.

However, I think your reply is correct....
