When should I use the subjunctive mood?

Could someone please explain to me when the subjunctive mood should be used? I'm not clear on it.

Preferably with examples.

Oh, gah. I didn't realize there was a lessons tab. Sorry!

Thank you for the explanation, Eddy.

as calvo viejo has said, you can find the circumstances where the subjunctive is used in the lessons section. that's the beauty of english. we hardly ever use it.
The subjunctive is used extensively in spanish and it is worth knowing how to employ it. it's use does subtly alter the meaning of a sentence.
example
ahora buscaremos un restaurante donde se "coma" (present subjunctive) bien - let's go and look for a restaurant where hopefully one might get a good meal. ie question of doubt, hope

Conozco un restaurante donde se "come" (present indicative) bien - i know a restuarant where one can get a good meal. ie no question whatsoever.

Go to the "Lessons" tab. The first item there is a discussion of indicative vs subjunctive. You may wind up with some specific questions that you can ask here.
