Ok so here are my notes for today that cover the second 30 minutes of the french spooky ghost story orphanage movie called "St. Ange" released in Mexico under the name "El convento". I will also provide the link so you watch it along with me. Some of these notes will be missing the accents, although I have tried to catch them all they get by me sometimes. If you have questions about the notes, check my questions from earlier in the week and they may have answers in them, otherwise email me a short message, and I will try to reply. Note that I currently have several emails to attend to so the shorter the better. Thanks. I make no guarantee that these notes are correct so any native that wants to check them may do so.

Note: this is the second 30 mintues. I will try to post the next part tomorrow, and no it isn't a complete transcription, there are some parts that were either too easy or said too fast to catch.

Link to "El convento" link text

Note: I am adding them slowly to avoid to cutoff thing.

"No lo comentes. No comment, I'm not gonna comment on it"

This is a negative, informal command. Don't discuss/explain it.

liar is misspelled. (mentirosa)

I downloaded the movie, but haven't watched it yet. Nice thread, though. Congratulations on a good idea.

If you mean "Aléjate de esa mentirosa" it looks spelled right to me. Gracias. - jeezzle, May 4, 2010
The Spanish is spelled right. Liar in English is not. ;) - alba3, May 4, 2010

This morning I've got as far as 'Cry all that you want'. Have to go now. Sorry I'm a bit behind with it, but it's great you've done this so I will watch it all.

One thought •Ya casi termino Can be 'I'm already finishing' therefore using present indicative?

Do you think she was sent there as punishment for getting pregnant, or that nobody else knew she was pregnant until the cook finds her collapsed?

I really jumped a mile at the mirror scene!

Pobrecita. :(

Great stuff Jeezle - I wish I'd watched this last night instead of suffering through Law-Abiding Citizen. raspberry

Just wondering, is it safe to download or is it better to just watch it on Megavideo?
