What does "paradas cortas" in relation to baseball mean? I saw it in this sentence: "El pelotero surgido de las Ligas Peque(tilded n)as jugo' en las paradas cortas en lugar del capita'n Derek Jeter..."

well parada is stop and corta is short so yes i would say that is is shortstop

I believe it means "short stops." The man who is the short stop is called the "Parador corto."
