"Please spell your name."

"Please spell your name."

The machine translators give me different answers for this.

"Por favor, escribe tu nombre." -and- "Deletree por favor su nombre."

Which is correct?

I suspect that any use of "escribir" is inappropriate here. I have difficulty imagining a form that asks me to spell my name so I assume that this is a verbal question.

Hence "deletree" is the winner in my view.

Yes, this is a verbal question.

To pronounce "deletree", I must say both "e"s at the end, correct?

I forgot: I need the "usted" form!!
