"what about this? What about that?

"what about this? What about that?

Lots of times in English we ask "what about" questions, eg on a trip we may wonder about bringing food along so someone asks "what about food?" and everyone understands that to mean who's going to bring food, what kind of food, etc. Or for eg. "What about you?', out of the context where WE all have our tickets but do you have yours. It's a short little question that seems to open up a forum. Is there a Spanish equivalency to this phrase? Gracias

To me, the closest expression to "what about..." is "qué hay de...". Works pretty much the same way.
