Kick the Door in

Kick the Door in

I just looked in on Close or Lock the Door and it made me wonder. I once did kick a door in so that my exiled boss could attend a meeting but I never did know how to say it.

"Abrir con puntapie" doesn't have quite the zing of "kick the door in".

New - see mountaingirl's comment - the door was definitely "abierta" but only the frame was "derribada"; it needed a carpenter to fix it.

how about "abrir la puerta a patadas" or - very violent - "derribar la puerta a patadas"? - mountaingirl123, May 2, 2010

Puntapie en el puerto? Not too original, but I think it says it!

Doesn't seem to mention that the door is now open? I've kicked a few doors without opening them too. - geofc, May 2, 2010
