To me it's the "word phrases" like this that are the key to makin you "feel as ease" in making sentences (and of course conversation) - nonombre, May 2, 2010
Annie, have you read Webster's grammar book? There are some minor errors in it regarding using the wrong verb etc...but they always use the right meanings and Benz posted a link to it if you search, it has all kinds of stuff like this in it. - jeezzle, May 2, 2010
I'll have a look at that then...it sounds good - nonombre, May 2, 2010

You can use "Tan pronto que" to say "as soon as", but that will require the use of the subjunctive. There are a couple of problems with spelling, too:

"Tan pronto me despierte me enciendo mi televisión de satélite."

On thinking about this, the subjunctive is used to indicate that this is something you plan to do. If it's a habit you have, you would use the indicative.

¿Porque has usado "encenderme?" Encender debe ser suficiente. ¿Encenderme significa "to turn oneself's on," no? - Kerri, May 2, 2010
Kerri, yeah, what you've said makes sense. - nonombre, May 2, 2010

I believe there are four ways to say it:

  • Así que
  • En cuanto
  • Luego que
  • Tan pronto como
  • Así que me despierto
  • En cuanto me despierto
  • Luego que me despierto
  • Tan pronto como me despierto

But I could be wrong. Gracias de nuevo.
