You should include a sentence using "thrust" in it to provide the correct context.

The thrust of the conversation was....

This responsibility was thrust upon me.

He pierced the armor with a single thrust of his sword.

He thrust himself into the mob.

The single propeller provided enough thrust to move the plane forward.
