How to use 'Se' (not sé)

Hola ! I saw the video of Paralee Withmire explaining reflexive verbs but I didn't quite get it. When do i say " Hablarse " or " Se hablar" .. what is the difference.. and why is doing something to oneself followed by a "se" rather than a "me" . like Hablarme ( to speak to myself ). I know that Se is used in place of Le to avoid tongue tying ( Lo Se Corre- run it to him , rather than Lo Le Corre ) . And if im not mistaken.. Se refers to "him/her" right? Lo Siento, Mi espanol es no muy bien ! Gracias
