How do you keep from getting excited? How can someone keep from singing over this?

I assume conseguir isn't get here, and guardar might not even be keep. Como se puede guardar de "getting:?? emocianado. Como se puede alguien de cantando de eso? I know they are both wrong, but I need help. Thanks.

¿Cómo se puede evitar emocionarse? Cómo se puede evitar cantar sobre (de) eso?

I think that that is how you would ask the questions but if you are asking as a way of saying: How is it that you aren't getting exited? Why aren't you getting excited?! Why aren't you singing about this? How is it possible that you are capable of not getting excited about this? You might say something like: ¿Cómo es que no te emocionas? Por qué no estás cantando sobre de eso? Cómo es posible que eres capaz de no emocionarte sobre eso?

How do you impede or prevent yourself from becoming excited?

How do you block yourself/restrain yourself from singing over this?

Try using different verbs.

I think getting in this context is ponerse ; not hacerse (becoming); or llegar a ser

evitar would be a good verb for keep from in this context.

How do you avoid getting excited....?
