Verse to meet up with someone
Maria tells me her friends mostly use verse not reunir to meet. Ayer me ví con Maria. Yesterday I met with Maria. Mañana pasado voy a verme con Maria. Maria y yo vamo a vernos pronto. Me ví con Maria hace un rato. Me veo con Maria ahora. Me veré con Maria al rato mismo (in just a little while? because mismo after means just, only and before means same) Maria se ve con su hermana ahora. Maria se vio con su hermana. Maria se verá con su hermana. Tu te viste con su padre. Gracias.

It's funny, I have a lot of Spanish-speaking friends...mostly Mexican...and the word almost always used is "encontrarnos".
¿Podemos encontrarnos al mediodía? = Can we meet at noon?
If it's more official, like a meeting or appointment, you can say juntar.
Ayer me ví con Maria. (Ayer estuve con maria)
I would go with what the locals say is the "right" way to say it because you'll be understood better.
I use "vamos a quedarnos a las cuarto" (we're going to meet up at four). However, I learned my way from Heidita and Lazarus, who are both from Spain.
I'm anxious to see what other members have to say about this, especially if they're from Mexico.
Ayer me ví con Maria. (Ayer estuve con maria)
In CR the most common I have encountered:
Nos vemos a las cuatro.
