Hi! I hope you can help me. Let me know if I'm right. I'm trying to say the next sentences in American English. Thanks!

  1. Plancho mi uniforme / I iron my uniform
  2. Lavo mi ropa / I do the washing - I wash my clothes (?)
  3. Lavo los trastes / I do the dishes
  4. Yo barro / I swept
  5. Yo trapeo / I mop
  6. Me peino / I comb my hair - I brush my hair
  7. Recojo la mesa / I clean the table (?)

our dictionary suggests "fregar los trastes" for do the dishes. - 0074b507, Apr 30, 2010
lavo la ropa -avoid possessive adjectives with body parts and clothing if not ambiguous - 0074b507, Apr 30, 2010
Thanks qfreed! En México no decimos fregar para los trastes. Se refiere a dar una tunda o perjudicar a alguien ;) - AntMexico, Apr 30, 2010

Quiero especificar que lavo y plancho mi ropa, no la de toda la familia, sólo la mía, por eso dudo en usar I do the washing, I do the ironing. excaim

Hola Morbo

Do you mean to clear (recoger) the table or to clean the table (limpiar)?

Present tense would be "I sweep."

Good job!
