Can someone help me with my language use, conjugation and transition

I need help with unstanding what I did wrong with this paragraph in my spanish compostion ( it is about my son and the mother of his best friend)

Mi amiga se llama es Diane, ella es la madre de mi hijo mejor amigo. Nuestros hijos son atleticos. Tienen mucho el colegio letras para juegan futbol y el balconesto. A Diane y a mi nos gustamos observar nuestras hijos jugar deportes.. Ahora, ellos van y viven en la universidad y es lejos de la casa.

My friends name is Diane, she is the mother of my son's best friend. Our sons are very athlectic, They have many high school letters for playing footbal and Basketball. Diane and I like watching our sons play sports Now they go and live at college, it is far from our home.

there is an ending, but I think thats enough information for me to understand any other misstakes.

Han recibido varios simbolos de recognición por su participación en jugar el fútbol americano y el baloncesto. A Diane y a mí nos gusta observar nuestros hijos jugar deportes.. Actualmente, ellos asisten a y residen en la universidad la que está lejos de nuestra casa.

"Lettering" in sports is an American custom and wouldn't have a literal translation into Spanish.
