I reckon it's fairly big or largish potatoes. The "ish" here works for the citas part of grandecitas. It's a diminutive of grande so I suppose "not too big.".

I would translate "grandecitas" as "pretty big"- So if you have 6-7 potatoes to choose from you would choose the bigger ones.

I would say choose the patatas bastante grandes.
