"Y solo fuero par de dia" ? What does this mean?

"Y solo fuero par de dia". The literal translation says "forum" and "law" so I don't get the idea. Help please!!

Maybe it's not "fuero" but "fueron" which is ser/go in Pretérito.
And "día", not dia.
I would need a contex for a better translation, but it's sth. like "And (they) only were a couple of days" which doesn't make any sense to me...
