"El Arte es de minorias"

"El Arte es de minorias"

This is quite tricky to translate because of the ambiguity of "minorities" in English and, it seems to me, Spanish. "Minorities" in English calls up ethnic minorities, the underprivileged and so on whereas in the above Spanish phrase the sense is more to do with the number of people who are aficionados.

So how would you translate it?

thanks

This is true, actually we would say for example,:

El golf es un deporte para minorías. Solo los ricos lo pueden practicar.
