Does "cambio" mean "over" on a CB radio? Yes!

Way, way back when 2-way radio was first developed, there would be a real person acting as a go-between because most transmitter/receivers didn't have the capability to reverse a signal, so the go-between guy would do it via a switch. When one person was finished transmitting, he would say, "Over" to let the go-between guy know to change (Cambiar) the switch position, so the other person could now transmit, and so on. Hence: Over & Cambio.

Cambio means this:

cambio - change

Dictionary: change, alteration, development, evolution, break, switch, shift, switch-over, conversion, displacement, dislocation, swap

I hope this helps answer your question! smile

In C B speak "over" means break so I guess it does answer his question. - Yeser007, Apr 27, 2010
True. So you could say over and out. cambio y fuera! And it would refer to CB radio! :) - smitmega15, Apr 27, 2010

Creo que "cambio" significa "change". Por ejemplo:

"Keep the change." grin
