Is this a proper way to say that Normally, i eat the food. I'm not picky?

You don't need the "yo" in the first sentence.

Second sentence: No estoy...(whichever word you use for picky.) This is if you are not normally a picky eater, only on this occasion.

If "picky" describes you as you usually are, then use "soy".

Yo no 'soy' escrupuloso, but yes. You might use the adjective 'caprichoso' or 'delicado' instead. I prefer to use these when talking about pickiness of food. Delores is right about the verb usage in this case.
