A friend wrote "Hola! Bienvenido a mi casa!" "Chau metiche!" I know the first part of the sentence means "Hello! Welcome to my home!" What does "Chau metiche" mean? I know "chau" means "bye!, see you!". What does "metiche" mean?

Hello 5237, welcome to the Forum!

"Metiche" means "Nosy". Looks like a curiously contradictory statement if it's all written one thing after the other...

"metiche" refers to a person that is nosy or snoops into someone else's business. It is definitely not a complement. Maybe your friend thought you were snooping around her house?
