"You don't want to do that" and "trust me, you want to do this"
I wonder if these translate. "No quieres hacer eso" or "Hazme caso, quieres hacer esto" Que crees? Gracias.

Good question. I'm not sure if you would actually say that sentence in that way. I think you'd be much more likely to say, "No debes/deberias de hacer eso."
I'd say "Confíame" to mean "Trust me."
"Haz me caso" would be more like "Listen to me." "Do what I say." "Pay attention to me."
Confía en mi = trust me
