If 'deseo que' is followed by the subjunctive, but 'could' is conditional, how do you make this sentence?
My guess is:
'deseo que podría'
But this leaves out the subjunctive, so am I wrong or is this an exception?

I'd use ojala for the I wish bit and probably podria for the could bit. I wish I could fly. =
Ojala que podria volar.
Otherwise you'd have to use desear or gustaria.
