Translation of phrase "en la cludad de" on a legal dodument

Hello, and welcome to the forum. Might it be en la ciudad de? It could be a typo or the ink might have run together between the line and the dot of the i. That would mean "in the city of..." and make sense on a legal document. I'm not familiar with cludad as a Spanish word and a search of the RAE dictionary didn't come up with any results.
Yes, it is "ciudad".
It's a common legal statement, usually at the beginning of the document. " En la ciudad de .........., a los ... días del mes de ......., ". This states the place and the date.
