In Spanish 2 lesson 1, it's written on the screen: ¿Cuándo va al trabajo la sirvienta¿ If the sentence is asking "When does the maid go to work?", then how come "trabaja" is in the Yo form? Or is the sentence asking another question?

Yes, that is what the question is asking.

trabajo in that sentence is a noun, however, not a verb. The verb is ir (va).

You can tell that trabajo is a noun, because it is... a el (al) trabajo with a definite article modifying the noun.

When=interrogative adverb

The maid=subject

does go=verb

to work=prepositional phrase (used as an adverbial phrase in this sentence).

[work is the object of the prepositional phrase (noun)]

In that sentence al trabajo is noun (= a el trabajo), it's not a Yo form.

Trabajo can be both a noun or a verb depending on the context.

"Yo trabajo poco". Means "I work" Present Indicative.

"El trabajo es bueno". Trabajo in this case is a noun.
