I wonder if you can say "No seas extranjero" like in English. Gracias.

Edit: Doesn't it seem like I leave out an important word every single time I post? wink

How about ¿Aun vives? No seas extranjero chiquita bonita.

The expression does not translate directly into Spanish. You certainly cannot say "No seas extranjero" for this purpose, because it means "Don't be a foreigner".

As far as I can think, the most common ways to convey the meaning of "don't be a stranger" in Spanish are "no te pierdas"; or "no te desaparezcas".

This is a good question. I wonder if it's just a saying in English or do Spanish speakers say this too.

"No seas un desconocido" is another option because "extranjero" generally means "a foreigner."

Anyone else???
