Which one do you use when? My boyfriends says "te amo" to me, but his mom says "te quiero" to me. Is amar more of a passion type love and querer is more of a friendly love? Just wondering

I suggest you do a search for those words in the Answers search box. The subject is an interesting one, and has been discussed in a few threads already.
