I took the survey but I wonder if it will help. It's my understanding that only random surveys have any statistical significance. This survey has the build in bias of favoring people who don't mind taking surveys. Are they going to allow you to include this in you dissertation?

Good luck

Well it's an informal survey and it is more of a long essay anyway (5000 words). I don't understand what you mean about it being random though - aren't all surveys only responded to by people who want to answer them? :) - kirstenalexander, Apr 20, 2010
And thank you for both taking the survey and wishing me luck! :) - kirstenalexander, Apr 20, 2010
It would be random if you randomly selected some Universities and then randomly selected Spanish students with those Universities. It's not easy to do. If some of the randomly selected students don't want to play it introduces additional uncertainty. - Steven-Neuberger, Apr 20, 2010

I'm also not sure about forum rules regarding this but it's for a good cause.

This is really a short, easy survey. I recommend everyone learning Spanish take it!

Hi, Kirstenalexa. I was going to answer your survey, but on the first page I saw that it is expected that a minimum of 2 years of learning Spanish is expected of the respondent. Since I do not meet that requirement, I did not proceed anymore.

Hey - sorry about that! I designed the survey to ask my classmates in university and we have all studied Spanish for at least two years that is why it was phrased like that! I have changed it if you would like to go back and try again? :) - kirstenalexander, Apr 20, 2010
