How do you saw "dolly" in Spanish? Example: I used a dolly to move the refrigerator.

Gracias!

Are you talking about something like this? alt text

If so, that's a diablito or diablo. (Mexico)

As a resident of Texas and situated very close to the US-México border, "diablito" is very commonly used for such a hand truck, or "dolly." The pictures leave no doubt as to what "objeto" is under discussion! smile

A "carretilla" is a wheelbarrow in Mexican and many other varieties of Spanish. The only way to refer to a dolly in Mexico is a "diablito".

I think carretilla is what you are looking for. You might want to wait for a native, though.

Also, just to be sure, I have included a picture of what I think you are asking about...

appliance dolly

Apparently the photo guy used a hatchett to remove the background from the picture I used. - webdunce, Apr 19, 2010
