Hi. I would like to start by saying I have really enjoyed browsing this fun and informative forum. I am very impressed with the quality of the comments and the dedication of its members. I've been living in Costa Rica for 2 months and have greatly improved my high school Spanish (thanks to the kindness and encouragement of the Ticos and resources such as this one).

Anyways, I was brushing up on my vocabulary (using this site's translator) and noticed that 'poema' is a masculine noun. I know there is a heap of them and I was wondering if anyone had a link to site with a kind of list.

Thank you

¡Pura vida!

Just as a point of reference, most (but certainly not all) nouns that end with "ma" or "pa" are masculine. Generally other nouns that end with "a" are feminine.

Programa, diploma, mapa, problema -- all masculine.
