En los años 70 y 80 del siglo XX no había casi nada en las tiendas en Polonia y colas largas formaban parte de la realidad comunista.

In the 70s and 80s of 20th century there was hardly anything in shops in Poland and long queues formed as part of communist reality.

I ahve to comment on what Fidalgo said above. Yes the countries you mentioned are succeeding but only because they have moved towards capitalism. - ian-hill, Apr 19, 2010
Capiltalism in itself is not bad - uncontrolled capitalsim is - as is pure communism. - ian-hill, Apr 19, 2010
I still don't figure out what you said, Sir Ian. That may be answered by the future, but perhaps no people here will be still alive at that time :) - Fidalgo, Apr 19, 2010

"which forms an interesting figure" is a misplaced modifier. It need to go after "queue" to describve the line and not the tower - AKgal, Apr 19, 2010

...according to the thread I used it correctly Heidita, as: "auxiliary verb + linking verb: may + be" and not as the adverb "maybe"... - luz_72, Apr 19, 2010

Did you mean "whacks"? Maybe "wags", but it can't be "tail wags people". - Rikko, Apr 19, 2010
