¡Hola!

...and welcome to the forum!

We are always happy to help you with learning español.

Just a couple of pointers...

Try to ask your questions in correct English/Spanish grammar because there are not only people here that are trying to learn Spanish, there are also a great number of members that are trying to learn English as well.

So...Use capitalization and periods in your sentences, because if someone who is trying to learn English reads it incorrectly, they may come away with improper usage.

Always try to see if you can answer your questions yourself. You never have to worry about being ridiculed here, believe me, we are all learning, and the only way to learn is to make a bunch of mistakes! After a few mistakes, and not having anybody "yell" at you, it gets easier to try.

We have an excellent translator here, just click on the translation tab, put in your sentence, and either put English to Spanish or Spanish to English.

The translators are never 100 percent accurate because of the vast divergences of the languages, but it gives you a good start, and sometimes the translators get it exactly correct.

So...give it a try, you have nothing to lose, and all to gain!

Hello! We try to not just do people's homework for them here on the forums. Give it a try yourself and we'll give you tips or corrections if it's not right. We promise not to set the dogs on you if you make a mistake. You can use the dictionary at the top of the page to look up words you don't know. Welcome to the forum and good luck.

To give you a hint: try using "I am intelligent" or "I am clever" in Spanish, rather than "I am smart."

Welcome to the forum! To help you get a good start here at SD, please heed the advice that you should ask your questions using correct grammar. I think you know that "How can you say I am smart?" does not mean the same thing as "How do you say, "I am smart"?

We won't be able to give you an answer to the first one, but for the second one, we will be able to give you help in translating to Spanish the phrase "I am smart".

So, if it is the translation that you are after, try it with the Dictionary or Translation tabs first and once you have your own translation, come back and many here would be more than glad to help you.
