Taking the bus
When saying 'I am taking the bus' in spanish do you say 'Estoy tomando el autobus' or 'Soy tomando el autobus' (or something else?). Thanks.

Hola, Aussie and welcome to the forum!
There is a variety of vocabulary used, depending on country. To give you another option: In Mexico "autobús" is a bus that travels long distances, like a coach. A city bus is called a "camión".
In Mexico "Estoy tomando el camión" if it is happening right now. "Voy a tomar el camión" if you are going to take the bus.

In spain:
Voy a coger el autobús.
If this happens right now:
Estoy cogiendo el autobús.
