Pat it down?

Pat it down?

How would you say "Pat it down" as in "Pat it down with a little cornstarch?"

I'm a native Spanish speaker and I still have no idea!

I think Gekkosan's suggestion is excellent...

Some more ideas...

(If you're wanting them to simply coat it with cornstarch)

Usando las manos, cúbralo ligeramente de maizena.

...or...

...or...

...or...

(if you want them to press it down while also covering it with cornstarch)

Apisónelo con manos cubierto generosamente de maizena.

(I am not a native speaker, so it may not sound all that good, but maybe there's an idea in there for you to build on.)

Is there a Spanish recipe for this or something similar? That might help. - webdunce, Apr 15, 2010

I'm not at all sure about this; it is just an attempt.
