what does prefieriendo mean do we conjugate AR/ER/IR endings words the same was as we do with yo, tú, él, ella, ellos, ie. preferir

prefiriendo is already conjugated in the form of present progressive (preferring). you can conjugate its infinitive form PREFERIR. It is an irregular IR verb though to watch out for some stem changes. (yo) prefiero, (usted) prefiere, (ellos) prefieren, are some samples. thanks
