We all have short anecdotes that we like - I thought it would be good practice to share them. This is also for those who are learning English.

Here is one of mine.

A fox was walking one day. He was enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful flowers and the smell of new grass. He came to deep dark well and looked down into it. He saw a frog. He thought for a moment or two and said to the frog 'What are you doing down there?' The frog looked up and said 'Down where?'

Un zorro caminaba un día. Disfrutaba el sol y las flores hermosas y el olor de la nueva hierba. Vino a un pozo profundo y oscuro y miraba abajo en el. Vio una rana. Pensó para un momento o dos y dijo a la rana. ¿Qué usted está haciendo abajo allí? ' La rana mirada para arriba y dicho, ¿Abajo donde? '

Of course corrections to my Spanish are most welcome. grin

Heidita's corrections: Un zorro caminaba un día. Disfrutaba del sol y de las flores hermosas y el olor de la nueva hierba. Vino a un pozo profundo y oscuro y miró adentro. Vio una rana. Pensó por un momento o dos y dijo a la rana. ¿Qué está haciendo allí abajo? ' La rana miró para arriba y dicho, ¿Abajo dónde? '

Will I never get the "hang" of this? grin

I found this online and liked it. It doesn't translate well to Spanish because the number of words change.

The six most important words: I admit that I was wrong. The five most important words: You did a great job. The four most important words: What do you think? The three most important words: Could you please. . . The two most important words: Thank you. The most important word: We. The least important word: I.
