No seria algo como ' It open with great importance in exchange for the seeking external/foreign traffic' Me imagino que se necesitaria cambiar la oracion un poco. Gracias de novo

I found other versions of "calado."

The door is open to a very important change, a more convincing way to look for traffic in the exterior (outside, foreign, etc.).

Hopefully a native or other advanced Spanish speaker will come along and correct these interpretations.

'calado' in this context is the draft of a ship. How deep the bottom of the ship is beneath the surface of the water.

That said, I am still unsure of what it is saying.

It opens the door for changing to a deeper draft

or

It opens the door for changes of great depth

I'm sure someone more experienced than I can help with the translation, given the meaning of calado in this context.
