In a correction to my spanish paragaph about my birthday, on of my sentences was this: Mi último cumpleaños , en 4 de abril, me gustó mucho. And you corrected me the sentence like this: Mi último cumpleaños fué el 4 de abril y me gustó mucho. what I meant to do is to use the phrase (en 4 de abril) as nonrestrictive phrase, because all my birthdays are in 4 of april, so that I find it wrong to say my birthday was in 4 of april because all my birthdays are in the same date, so should not I use the phrase (in 4 of april) as nonrestrictive phrase?

You're trying to use an English grammar construct in Spanish. Perhaps such a construct does not exist in the language.

Mi último cumpleaños fué el 4 de abril y me gustó mucho.

It is possible to use commas here:

Mi último cumpleaños, el 4 de abri, me gustó mucho.

However, if you have a question about a correction, post the question in the same thread. If you get corrected by a native, like on this ocasion, it is very unlikely that there is a mistake in the post.

MInd the el, en 4 de abril does not exist.
