I did a Google search for the term "Peer Advocate" and I liked the term:

"Compañero(a) de Apoyo"

I understand it translates (one way) as "Companion for backing help/support"

If you would like to see one of the Google finds for the term "Compañero(a) de Apoyo"

Look here for the Spanish version ----> Spanish

Look here for an English translation ----> English.

To describe the position more completely, as in "Peer and family Advocate" you may need to say:

"Compañero(a) de Apoyo para Iguales y Familias"

You will definitely want to consult a fluent Spanish speaker before you get any signs painted or carved in wood.
